it matters

an important matter…

redeem the world by sanctifying it through truth.

If ‘glory‘ means ‘weight‘, then measure the heaviness of this world

- how deep an impression we allow it to make in us -

against what God calls truth, life… the Way.

the more important matters

what are the matters in hand? why are we carrying them? what are the more important matters? we take life gladly by the hand, but forget there’ll be a little squeeze between our fingers on our time, our hearts, our preference…

i’m thinking hands.

imagining two people in eden, ‘handed a bundle of choices, but in a weak moment, dropped the binder that held them together, and nowadays each of us tries to regather those things in our hands again…’

so for us, when our hands eventually wrinkle, it would be better, even important, to make sure our work hasn’t been a waste of time; that our gathering hasn’t been of the wrong sort.

i’m thinking time.

choices and ‘matters’ are things we can give up but time isn’t something we ultimately give or can give up on… the earth time we thought we could hold or ‘give up’ is taken from us, even though our life/existance isn’t ended, time will dissolve to eternity. so what will we do till the last tick of time, to make the time last?

what we do, who we are… let it be devoted to the important, not the urgent… not just the matters in hand. i don’t want to be obligated, but instead have the will and strength to precede obligation. acting in love. seeking to help. realigning limitations.
